A comprehensive 11 day / 10 night journey from Mexico City to Cancun via Oaxaca, Chiapas, Campeche and the Yucatan Peninsula.
Arrive at Mexico City on any Tuesday (arrive Sunday for an optional Teotihuacan and Tula tour). The tour ends in Cancun 11 days later on Friday.

 | DAY 1 TUE. Arrival at Mexico City. Meet and greet at Mexico City International Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Mexico City. |

 | DAY 2 WED. Mexico City. The city tour begins visiting the cultural and historic heritage downtown with the National Palace and its beautiful murals, painted by the famous muralist Diego Rivera, the Constitution Square or “Zocalo”, the ruins of the Aztec Templo Mayor and the
Metropolitan Cathedral. Downtown Mexico City is an UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Spanish Colonial architecture. Tour follows with the visit to the Chapultepec Park, an important Residential area of Mexico City, and the “Zona Rosa” vibrant district with restaurants and shops.  | DAY 3 THU. Puebla, Oaxaca. Transfer to Oaxaca visiting en route Huejotzingo and its 16th Century Monastery of San Miguel, the world´s largest pyramid ant the archaeological zone of Cholula and its 365 churches. In Puebla an UNESCO World Heritage Site, most downtown buildings are
decorated with tiles and beautifully sculpted freestone, visit includes its majestic Cathedral at the Main Square, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Convent of Santa Monica and the Onix and Talavera Ceramics workshops. Overnight in Oaxaca. (B,L) |

 | DAY 4 FRI. Oaxaca – Monte Alban – Mitla – Tule. Visit to Monte Alban a cultural and archaeological heritage site with important remains of the Ancient Zapotec and Mixtec Peoples, including the Main Plaza, the Observatory, Tomb # 7, the Stones of the Dancers, etc. Next visit
is to Mitla Archaeological Site, whose buildings are decorated with symbolic mosaics. En route stop at the Tule Tree, considered among the largest living beings in the world. Back to Oaxaca for a city tour that includes its cultural and historic heritage landmarks: the Cathedral, the Seven Regions Fountain, the impressive Santo Domingo Church and the Gold Museum Monte Alban and Downtown Oaxaca City are together an UNESCO

 | DAY 5 SAT. Sumidero Canyon. Early departure transfer to San Cristobal de las Casas. En route, enjoy the landscapes of the southern mountains and Indian communities along the road. At the
town of Chiapa de Corzo, famous for an impressive Mudejar Style Fountain, boat tour in the Grijalva River to the Sumidero Canyon, with walls that reach 3,000 feet. Overnight in San Cristobal de las Casas. (B,L) |

 | DAY 6 SUN. San Cristobal De Las Casas – Chamula – Zinacantan. Visit to the Maya Villages of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, to see traditional religious rituals kept for centuries. Afternoon San Cristobal de las Casas City Tour, including: the Market, the Cathedral and the famous
Santo Domingo Church, amongst others. Overnight in San Cristobal de las Casas. (B) |

 | DAY 7 MON. Agua Azul Waterfalls. Transfer to Palenque is a transfer from the Chiapas Highlands to the Gulf of Mexico Coastal Plains. En route, the Agua Azul Waterfalls are impressive with its pristine turquoise waters. If time allows, another beautiful waterfall called Misol-Há

 | DAY 8 TUE. Palenque. Visit to Palenque Archaeological Site, one more UNESCO World Heritage Site in the tour and a site considered one of the most important Classic Maya sites due to its historical and architectural importance. Afternoon transfer to Campeche through a scenic road
that follows the Gulf of Mexico coastal line. Overnight in Campeche. (B,D) |

 | DAY 9 WED. Campeche – Uxmal – Merida. Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in one day: In the morning Campeche, a Walled City with Spanish Colonial buildings. In ther afternoon, Uxmal Archaeological Site with a distinctive style that makes it unique in the Maya World: Stucco carvings
that decorate its walls. Later in the day, arrive to Merida, the lively Capital of Yucatan for a panoramic tour through the Montejo Boulevard, the Mother Land Monument and the Main Square. Overnight in Merida. (B,L) |

 | DAY 10 THU. Chichén Itza. Transfer to Cancun, visiting en route the icon of the Ancient Maya Civilization: Chichén Itzá Archaeological Site, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and recently named as a ONE OF THE NEW SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD. Overnight in Cancun.
